"Tribute to
Peter Bergman"

Phillip Proctor says, "'Peter Bergman and the End of the World' is a piece I was inspired to write after losing my dear friend, collaborator and Firesign partner to leukemia.

"I chose to premiere the story on Comedy-O-Rama because of my admiration for Joe and Lorie's comic consistency over the years and because I know that their audience is the perfect place to perpetuate the memory of Peter's genius and stimulate an online interest in his legacy through Radio Free Oz, The Firesign Theatre and Proctor & Bergman.

"I know Peter would've loved it…
Thanks, J & L ~ Philip"

The Comedy-O-Rama Hour is the brainchild of husband and wife Joe Bevilacqua (Joe Bev) and Lorie Kellogg.

Proctor and Bergman are the comedians Philip Proctor and Peter Bergman, two of the four members of The Firesign Theatre. The two Midwestern members of the group performed as a double act for a while in the mid-1970s and recorded a few albums, though all four members continued to perform and record together.
In 1977, they were regulars on a summer replacement television series on CBS hosted by the Starland Vocal Band.
The screenplay for the 1979 movie Americathon was an adaptation by others of a play written by Proctor and Bergman.

The Joe Bev Audio Theater is a one hour weekly anthology representing more than  forty years of storytelling by Joe Bevilacqua (Joe Bev) Joe Bevilacqua, also known as Joe Bev, is primarily known as a radio theater dramatist, but his career has taken him into every aspect of show business, including stage, film, and television, as a producer, director, writer, actor, and even cartoonist. In 1971 his father bought him a cassette recorder, on which he created his first audio story, Willoughby and the Professor, acting all the voices himself at the age of twelve. In 1975 Daws Butler, the voice of Yogi Bear and many other Hanna-Barbera and Jay Ward cartoon characters, dubbed himself Bevilacqua’s personal mentor after hearing a 120-minute cassette of Willoughby improvisations. Since 1980 Bevilacqua has produced many award-winning radio programs for National Public Radio, Sirius-XM Satellite Radio, and others.
