Nicknamed Satchmo or Pops, Armstrong had a long and successful career as a American jazz trumpeter and singer from New Orleans, Louisiana. Coming to prominence in the 1920s as an "inventive" trumpet and cornet player, Armstrong was a foundational influence in jazz, shifting the focus of the music from collective improvisation to solo performance. With his instantly-recognizable gravelly voice, Armstrong was also an influential singer, demonstrating great dexterity as an improviser, bending the lyrics and melody of a song for expressive purposes. He was also skilled at scat singing (vocalizing using sounds and syllables instead of actual lyrics).

"Camp Waterlogg: The Animals are Offensive"
In this hour, Adam Maxwell (Joe Bev) from Homeland Security is at Camp Waterlogg to find Chef Ron (Jim Folly) away. Meanwhile, Sgt. Lefty, Ellis, and Andy (Joe Bev) and Olive, Elise, Aleta Mae and Lkie (Lorie Kellogg) are being tormented by the chipmunks and squirrels. Joe Bev performs in the Uncle Dunkle story "Reddy Robin and the Owl". Bob Mils reads from "The Laughmakers" about Bob Hope. Donnie Pitchford is both Lum and Abner in more new OTR. "Willoughby and the Professor Meets Bartizan the Genie" (Joe Bev) continues. The newest "Adventures of Teaman" is heard. Meanwhile, back in 1888 at 221-B Baker Street, London, Sherlock Holmes, Dr. Watson and Mrs. Hudson are continue a strange meal.
