On October 4, 2013, at 1:30 pm ET, Sound Stages Radio will air the 19th installment of The Joe Bev Audio Theater, a half-hour anthology representing more than forty years of storytelling by Joe Bevilacqua (Joe Bev), the veteran, award-winning actor, writer, producer, director.

On the 19th edition of The Joe Bev Audio Theater:
Selections from Pedro's Cartoons: Fractured Fables in Famous Animated Voices, written by Pedro Pablo Sacristan, produced, directed and voiced by Joe Bevilacqua, with additional voices by Lorie Kellogg.

 In the half-hour, Joe Bev presents the stories as if it was a day of TV cartoons, including:

Joe Bevilacqua, also known as Joe Bev is primarily known as a radio theater dramatist. However, his career has taken him into every aspect of show business, including stage, film and television, as a producer, director, writer, actor, and even cartoonist.

 Not content to hide behind his microphone, Bevilacqua will be seen acting in the upcoming feature films: "The Green Blade Rises" directed A.J. Edwards, "The Fly Room" directed by Alexis Gambis, "Cold in July" directed by Jim Mickle, and "Hits" directed by David Cross. He will soon be portraying WWII British General Bernard Montgomery in the History Channel miniseries "The War"

Joe Bev has created the first new Green Lama radio adventure since 1949. More than three years after the demise of his comic book, the Green Lama was resurrected for a short-lived CBS radio series that ran for 11 episodes from June 5 to August 20, 1949, with the character's voice provided by Paul Frees. This version of the Green Lama was also written by creator Kendell Foster Crossen, along with several co-writers.

Bev improvises these modern context opens and closings in his character's voices, which are then animated as shadow puppets  by Lorie Kellogg.

Alexis Gambis

said Alexis Gambis.

Alexis Gambis is the Artistic Director & Founder of Science Imagine Films. Gambis is a French-Venezuelen scientist, filmmaker and founder of Imaginal Disc, a film production company focused on scientific storytelling. His work is interdisciplinary and diverse, yet focuses on bridging the sciences and the visual arts through film, exhibits and installations, research and teaching. He received his Ph.D in Molecular Biology from The Rockefeller University, a Masters in Bioinformatics from the University of Marne la Vallée and Bachelor of Arts from Bard College.

He is currently enrolled in New York University Graduate Film Program as a thesis student, where he is working on his first feature film, The Fly Room, based on a the true life story of a pioneer geneticist from the 1920s.
